Done and paid for...

SO I just signed up for "The Challenge" and am so ready to start that on Monday! I also have signed up and paid for the Half-Marathon! So no turning back now! I think I have a handle on the stomach issues I have been having since this summer and I am going to just start with doing Half's. If I can handle those then maybe one day I can do a marathon! Here's to a great start to getting healthy in 2010.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone! Hope everyone had a great time with family and friends! We were so blessed by everyone and got so many great things and had a lot of fun family time! Christmas breakfast was at our house then dinner at Jason's parents house! We go to skype with my brother and his family and that was so much fun! Maddie got her new barbie jeep and backed it into the garage door! Perfect just like her Aunt Kensley!!! We even had a white Christmas! It started snowing on Christmas eve while we were playing with our new Wii! So much fun the dogs loved the snow well maybe just Puma!

Rosco is not a fan of the snow!!

Puma loves the snow!!!

Look at all this snow!!!

Chloe is her new Dora tent that we got her for Christmas!

Jason had Mimosa's for the first time during breakfast and couldn't get enough of them so after dinner we stopped on our way home to get more Champagne and we decided to chill it outside in the snow!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!

Snowball Express

So this past weekend Jason and I volunteered for a event called Snowball Express with my Mom and Dad.

Here is what SBE is about:

Snowball Express is the charity for the children of our fallen military heroes. It started in 2006 with a simple idea: Provide hope and new memories to the children of our fallen military heroes who died while on active duty since September 11, 2001.

Memorials at a cemetery or listening to a long speech are not the kind of memories a child wishes to endure again . Yet that is how we honor our heroes...it is what adults do.

By attending Snowball Express a child can see that "service above self" is honored by others and is a value they should subscribe to as they continue to mature as adults. They also realize they can honor their fallen hero in ways other than by being sad or at a somber place.

Snowball Express gives them a piece of their childhood back, allowing them to have fun and that it's OK to laugh.

As a Nation, we are blessed. We owe it to these children to do something special and nothing is better than meeting someone who is just like you.

Snowball Express does just that with the help of volunteers, donors and sponsors.

Jason and I had such a great time volunteering we did our part on Saturday when the families went to Cowboys Stadium in Arlington. AKA Jerry's World! What an amazing place and the way it was decorated for these kids was even more amazing! That day at the stadium they had a few surprises. One was Gary Sinese and his band. He is Lt. Dad from Forrest Gump and on C.S.I. also the Patriot Guards were also there and drove on to the Field and escorted them from event to event all week long. Those Patriot Guards are just amazing! There was so much going on with face painting and bounce houses, kicking field goals, dancing to the music, tours, EATING tons of awesome food family style! It was such an amazing event to be a part of I can't wait to do it again next year and be even more involved! When I get my pictures downloaded I will post them hopefully tomorrow!

Christmas Pictures!

So Jason and I had our first official Sutherlin family Christmas pictures taken a couple of weekends ago and it was so much fun! Rosco only peed on our photographer once and for the most part the boys did really well for being out in 40' weather! It was so cold that day I think it was the first day that the temperature really dropped and we were freezing! Thank goodness I went out and got a new sweater!

Puma almost got away right before this picture!

Puma is actually pretty photogenic, Rosco not so much!

Black Friday...

Yes I am thankful for Black Friday! My dad and I started a few years ago getting up way before the crack of dawn and going out to stand in long lines for some Christmas presents! Some years have been better than others but none the less we always find something to get and get it at a great price on sale! This year I think I got the most items and shopped a lot longer than other years! We always have a great time and now have a routine down. He drops me off at the door or end of the line whatever and then he goes to get coffee for him and hot coco for me! By the time you are done with your drink it's time to shop! We split up and then meet up and go to the check out line all before 5:30AM most of the time! And then normally we go eat breakfast and then he drops me off at home to go back to bed! Such a fun time and this year we actually went to the right store the first time around!

Glidden...

I am thankful for the paint brand Glidden. Over the break I was able to get my guest bathroom painted the way I wanted it and only had to use one coat. Thanks to our friends Chase and Lindsay who pointed us in the direction of Glidden it was a easy quick paint job! So now our bathroom matches the guest bedroom color scheme! I will post some pictures of it when I get a chance to take some! So if your wanting to paint anytime soon I would suggest using Glidden! It's the bomb!!!

Thanksgiving Break...

So I loved having a Thanksgiving Break when I was in school but now that I am a teacher I am even more thankful that we get this wonderful week long break! This time of year us teachers get kinda tired and just ready to not see the kids for a week. We get a great change to hang out with family and friends and enjoy some sleeping in! I love to sleep you can ask anyone and this break really does help me get to relax a little bit! So thank you to my district for giving us the entire week off! I enjoyed every minute of it!

Radio...

Okay, so today I am thankful kinda in a selfish way today, and you probably wonder why the title of this entry is Radio. Well that's because we are watching the movie Radio today through Friday to put a good end to our week before we go to Thanksgiving break. Why the movie Radio you ask well there are two good reasons. The first is because we just finished our football unit in P.E. and it's a great time to watch a football movie. Second reason is because of the character the actors in the movie have to become friends with Radio. Radio is a special needs boy that was being made fun of by the football players and the coach finds out and puts a stop to it. The coach also takes Radio under his wing and teaches his football players how to treat someone that is so very different than they are. I have classes where the students are very different and some have very special needs and others don't at all. So this was a great movie for them to watch to show them what the right and wrong way to treat people that are different than they are. So this will make for a good couple days before we go into our Thanksgiving Break! So I am thankful for the movie Radio to give us coaches a little bit of a break and for helping us teach our students about the character of a man.

Hobby Lobby...

OH how I love thee! Hobby Lobby is probably my most favorite store besides Kirklands!!! Between these two stores I can decorate my house the exact way I want it! I love doing crafts even though I am not to good at them and I have to be told exactly what to do I still love them! I can spend countless hours in Hobby Lobby! From looking at all the scrapbook papers that I will probably never use but really want to all the way to the fake flowers to make arrangments in our house! I also want a sewing machiene to start making things for gifts and what not for friends because at hobby lobby the choices are almost endless. They have started putting out Christmas decorations way before Halloween was even here so that put me in a great mood! I love getting to finally decorate my house the way I want to and it's mostly because of Hobby Lobby.

Skype...

I am so thankful for Skype! Yes I live far away from my brother and sister in law and my 2 neices! So skype is the best thing around to talk to them. As probably most of you know it is kinda hard to talk to a 2 almost 3 year old on the phone! With skpye she can see who she is talking to and it's much better! This way you can also make sure that the little ones aren't scared of you when you are around them in person! I can also see our good friends in Bryan, TX who are about to have their baby #2 (no name yet)! We love talking to Dawn, Dr. B, and Nathan! It's so cute watching Nathan just be memorized and stare at the computer screen! So I am thankful for Skype for keeping me connected with all my friends and family!

Potty training...

So I thought I was going to have to give in and always have to change the towel under Rosco's kennel every time I came home from work since we got the little guy!

See the thing with him is he is pretty tiny and had previous owners so I wasn't really sure he would ever get out of the habit of hiking a leg and peeing outside of his kennel. He is a very talented dog by the way. See he knows that if he pees outside of the kennel then it's ok and he wont have to be in pee all day long. Very smart if you ask me but also very annoying. Seeing as how he wouldn't always do it to the same side we would have to get a big huge towel that is just his now and put it under his kennel so he would pee on the tile and always wash it every night because we would come home and there was always pee on it! Grrrr very frustrating!

Well much to my surprise this whole week (knock on wood) he has been able to hold it until I got home and the just go outside! I think either his bladder has expanded over time or he has just been potty trained!!! Woo Hoo I know kids will be much harder but with Rosco we have done pretty well! Way to go Champ!

Military...

So today is Veterans day 2009 and at my school we had yet another great veterans day program. I felt that it was fitting to be thankful for the military and to write about it today! I am so thankful to the men and women in the military that serve for our country's freedom! Without you all our country would not be as safe as it is now!

My brother is currently in the USMC as a Cobra pilot! I could not be more proud of him! I still remember the first time he left for Iraq. Probably one of the saddest days ever! My sister in law just had their first baby 2 weeks before he had to leave and seeing him say bye to them was heartbreaking! Thank the Lord for keeping him safe and out of harms way. I don't know what I would have done if something would have happened to him! He is my big brother and I look up to him for advice and everything else. It was really great that he could call and email home to let us all know that he was safe and doing ok when he was there. As for my sister in law she is probably one of the strongest women I know! Not having your husband around like that has got to be one of the hardest things ever. So thank you Andy for what you do to protect us your family and our country and thank you to all of the Veterans out there for your service and commitment to our country as well! This country would not be the same without all of you!

College...

I am so thankful that I went to college for so many reasons! When I decided to go to Texas A&M-Commerce I wasn't overly excited for any one particular reason. I was happy I was going some where to play soccer but I hadn't really thought of a concrete plan as to what even really wanted to major in. One thing I was happy about was getting a phone call from an old friend the summer before school started and asking if I wanted to be her roommate our first year of college. I gladly accepted and started to get ready for the rest of my life!

My first few years were kind of difficult getting use to studying and a coach that yelled at me ALLLLL the time was not very fun. I did seek comfort in my roommate and a couple other teammates and some new friends I met, the Gamma Phi's! The second year at Commerce I joined the sorority and kinda got into some trouble during soccer that taught me a great lesson and I did learn from it. My junior year was a great year for me I had a lot of fun in soccer and in the sorority life was great! When my senior year came around I was doing great and ready for graduation. The only thing I had to do was finish my last semester of classes and my student teaching semester! Oh yeah I finally decided I wanted to teach and coach! It was going to be a fun year! But then started soccer season and I was hit with a ton of bricks after a game my dad told me my Uncle had cancer and was dying oh and that same day he told me my grandpa also had cancer!!! Talk about a crappy day I think that ranks up there pretty high! Along with the fact that I had just broken up with my boyfriend of a year on our year anniversary! haha not so funny at the time but now it's all good! Out of all that my senior year I really grew up. My Uncle did pass away in January of 2006 probably the hardest day of my life to this day!

After thinking back on my college years I know I did everything I possibly could have to make it the best experience! My college roommates and I are so close it's like we were sisters that reconnected in college! I love them so much for always being the best of friends to me and having such a blast and never holding back! Roomies for life!!! Some of my sorority sisters I met will be just that simply sorority sisters but others are really my sisters! I had such a great time bonding with such a great group of girls when everyone before college who knew me, knows that I wasn't much for hanging out with a bunch of girls 24/7. My Gamma Phi sisters really opened up a new light in my life and it was such a great experience!

My soccer time in college has so many stories! Some of the best times of my life and by far some of the worst times in my life! Wow who knew that would happen by playing college soccer. While playing soccer for 4 years we were regular season conference champs in '03 and conference champs in '04. I learned so many great lessons that I still use as a coach myself from how to act on the sideline to how to treat your players to great ways to win a game! While playing soccer my junior year I suffered my first really bad injury. I broke my nose really bad in the first half of one of our games right before the conference tournament. I had surgery a week after I broke it but it didn't work. My nose was still crooked and I still couldn't breath. I then had a couple options for one we knew I was going to have to have another surgery 6 months later so I could play and risk hurting it even more or sit out during regional's in CO and just cheer my team on. Of course I tried to get released early but that didn't work I did however get to play in the regional tournament in CO so that was awesome and I didn't hurt my nose anymore than it already was even better!

So during my years in college lots of things changed in my life! Some were good changes and some were bad but through it all I had a great time and wouldn't change any of it besides the hangovers! I am so thankful for going away to college even though it wasn't very far it was far enough! I had an amazing experience and hope everyone gets as much out of it as I did!

Friends...

#3 Friends...

Wow where would I be with out my friends to keep me sane! Friends defiantly make my world go round! They are there to pick you up when you are down and bring you back down to reality when you need it as well and sometimes they can make you feel as normal as ever! When I think about the friends I have in life I can't help but smile. I often tell a lot of stories and not just once but multiple times and every story seems to have a friend in it! It makes me so happy to realize how many people I have been in contact with in my life. I have friends from elementary school through now just making some new friends this past year. I can for sure say that each one of my friends means something different to me.

Friends are there for you no matter what. Some of my friends and I can go for days, weeks, even a month or two with out talking and pick right back up where we left off. I have had some great friends in my lifetime and that have helped me through some tough times in life. From taking me out when I just needed a Taquito from Whataburger in Greenville to leaving me a card on my bed telling me they were there if I need them. I LOVE MY FRIENDS!!! It's crazy when I think back on my life and remember when and how I met some of my friends.

The one thing that does make me sad is that I don't get to see all of my friends as often as I would like. Maybe it makes me cherish our friendship more but it still sucks! Also when you lose a friend. There are so many different ways you can lose a friend. You can lose them to dying, to loss of keeping in contact, and to not getting along in many different ways. It sucks when you lose a friend to any of those ways, especially if you never know why.

So this is my shout out to all my friends I LOVE YALL!!! Miss you even if I don't get to see you very much, know that I cherish our friendship and can't wait to talk to you soon!!!

Family...

So one of the other most important things I am thankful for is my Family. If I did not have my family and their love my world would crush around me. My parents are probably the most loving, caring, giving, passionate people I know! After everything I have been through in my life and what I have put them thru they are still and always will be there for me. After Jason and I got engaged my mom and dad we the most supportive and excited I have ever seen them for me. Thank you so much Mom and Dad for teaching me how to love and be loved. You guys really are who I look up to and I always will!

As far as siblings go I think I am very lucky how well my brother and I get along! However we all know that it wasn't always this way. Growning up with an older brother can be hard at times but as soon as Andy left for College a light just switched and we pretty much instantly became the best of friends. It might have also been the fact that both of us matured. Andy joined the Marine Corps and I was going through all of the high school things high school kids go through. Once I graduated HS and went to college I would call my brother for advice and to vent if I was mad about something pretty much anything. He was always there for me when I needed him. I think the time that we realized we needed each other the most was when our Uncle Bob, "UB" died. For the both of us me being 21 and Andy being 24 this was the first family member for us to pass away. We are very fortunate to still have all of our grandparents. As far as my brother goes and the military I say Boo to that! I am not a fan of him having to be deployed but who is right!? To be honest the first time he was deployed my heart stopped knowing he was leaving to the "sand box" having to leave his not even 2 week old baby and his wife! Anyway he has been deployed and back a few times and now has 2 baby girls Maddie and Rylee!!! I love them to death and would do anything I can to make those 2 the happiest girls on the earth!!! I am so glad they will get to be with their mom and dad during these holidays!!! So in a nut shell I am a huge fan of my brother and what he has done in his life! Oh and congrats on graduating from WTI bubba!!! Love ya!!

Becca is my sister in law! As I would like to call her just my "sister"! I have known Becca since high school when Andy and her started dating! I am so glad she is my sister I never had! I love being able to call her for anything or ask her about anything! Well almost anything she is still married to my brother so there is a limit! As far as her on the mother stand point I want to model our children after what an excellent job she has done with my nieces. I know they are not perfect but in my point of view I think they are! I try to keep in touch with Becca as much as I can with out being to over the top when Andy is gone but I always want her to know I am here for her and the girls. Becca you are the best friend/ sister I never had and have always wanted! Thank you for being there for me and I promise to be the best sister to you and godmother to Rylee I can be! Oh and as far as Maddie goes I would love to see both of them as much as possible!!! I think i brag on her more than I will even my own first born! It's hard not to when Becca has shown her how to be such a great kid/ niece/ granddaughter/and everything else in the world! This is my promise to see the girls as much as we can!!!

Ok enough I love my family plan and simple and will do whatever I can to support them and back them as much as possible!! I am so thankful for my family and what the do to make us, US!!!!

Things to be thankful for...

Well now that it's November I am going to try to blog about all the many things I am thankful for! I will try to update this as much as possible and it shouldn't be to hard seeing as how I have so many things to be thankful for!!!!

The first thing I want to blog about would be how thankful I am for my husband! Yes, he is by far the best thing that has happened to me! I don't know where I would be in life if it wasn't for him! Jason takes me just as I am and puts up with everything I do or don't do (dishes, etc...)! He even listens to me tell my stories over and over again and only tells me when I'm telling him for the 4th or 5th time. We have so much fun together and are reminded often that in this life it's going to be just the two of us in the end. Sometimes I can get sad or upset with things that happen but he reminds me that he is here for me and will always be there for me! For that I am so grateful to him. We have such a great time just hanging out at home or going out for a walk or on a date! Our kids aka Puma and Rosco always seem to do something to make us laugh all night long!

Believe it or not we even enjoy cleaning the house together! We both have our parts of the house that we clean every Sunday and after we are all done we both feel so much better and happier when the house is all cleaned up!!! My mom and old college roommates wouldn't believe me that I help keep everything clean and neat and organized but I do thanks to Jason!!

I am also so thankful for how dedicated Jason is to his profession! He truly lives the 24 image! Well besides eating well all the time. Other than that the only time that he misses a workout or the chance to help someone else with their questions about working out or getting in shape is when he is sick. Even then he tries to do as much as he can. The one bad thing about being married to a personal trainer is you don't want to listen to them you would rather listen to someone else or do it on your own. I still love to go to the gym with Jason just now I do my own thing and he does his own it's better for the both of us.

I could go on and on about all the many qualities I am so thankful for when it comes to Jason but I will spare everyone and just stop here for today! Hope everyone is having a great November only 3 more weeks until we stuff ourselves full of turkey and mashed potatoes!!!!!

Halloween is here!

So this last weekend we had our first Halloween Party! We had a great turn out and much to my mom and mother-in-law's helps all the food was great! I hadn't planned on it being a huge wild and crazy over the top party just some friends getting together playing some fun games and enjoying each others company. We had every finger food I could think of plus some of the best dips in the world (Buffalo Chicken Dip Recipe to come soon) and oh the whole table of desserts!!! I must say my favorite was the dirt dessert I requested from Stephanie!!! I love it and am still snacking on it thank you Steph!!! The day before the party Jason had two of his good friends come over and help him make/build two BPong tables!!! Much to my surprise they actually turned out really nice and it was a huge hit at the party! Most of the night was spent out in the garage! The funniest part of the night was when 4 random girls walked up into our garage bypassed everyone sitting and playing games in there and started to walk into the house. But funny thing was that no one was in the House we were all in the garage so who were these girls trying to get into my house??? Jason and I looked at each other wondering if these girls were invited by either one of us and just didn't tell the other but nope we didn't know them at all and neither did anyone at our house. So right before they went into our house Jason (who was dressed up as Dorthy from the Wizard of OZ long wig and all) ask "Hey who do you know here?" They replied "Rachel" well no one I know or Jason knows has the name of Rachel. So needless to say they walked into the WRONG party!!! ha ha one of our neighbors was also having a party a couple blocks down the street!!! HA HA such a great story for us to remember our first Halloween party! Thank you to everyone who showed up and contributed to the wonderful food feast we had!!!

Buffalo Chicken Dip

2 Big Can of Tyson Chicken
1 8oz block of cream cheese
2 cup of shredded cheese
1 Cup of Ranch Dressing
1 Cup of Franks Red Hot Buffalo Sauce

Then in a crock pot for 30 min. mix in the chicken (shredded up by a fork) and sauce (Ranch & Hot Sauce) after that add in the cream cheese softened. Serve with the cheese mixed in at the end and reduce the crock pot to warm and enjoy!!!

This recipe is a party favorite have it handy because I'm sure you will be asked for it!

OUCH!!!

So now that I am not as active as I have been in my past years injuring yourself hurts a lot worse that I remember! Yesterday after school I was practicing with my middle school volleyball girls and might I add I was doing very well before the "fall". So here's what happened...I jumped up with my awesome vertical that I have and blocked one of the girls that hit the ball but when I came down my right foot landed on her foot causeing me to roll my ankle extreamly bad! A few moments later I punched the floor doing all that I could not to say a bad word infront of them and held back my tears and just crawled off the court to the bleachers! I made the managers go get me some ice since I couldn't walk myself and then propped myself up for te rest of practice trying not to die!

The drive home was even more ammusing! Like I said before it was my right ankle so I knew driving home was not going to be easy! I pushed the gas with my right foot and the break with my left! Ha Ha I think my car and all the drivers around were not my friend at the time. It's really hard to break with your left foot!!! Jason does it all the time so I thought it would be to hard but man was I wrong!

Anyway, I made it home safe and hopped all around the house until Jason got home. When he did he made a ice bath in the kitchen sink for me and I would have rather him just have cut my leg off at this point! After that I totally could not walk or even hop back into the bedroom to go to sleep so I made him carry me! Finally, I fell asleep and this morning no difference still hurts and still swollen!!! Should make for a great day teaching of PE and coaching our volleyball game tonight against Lake Highlands!!! I think I'm going to try to find a pair of crutches!!!

Wedding pictures FINALLY!!!

So here are just a few of my wedding pictures!!! I love them all it's going to be so hard to decide which ones to put in our book! But that's a good thing because they are of the best day of my life! I love you toots!

Flu / Ella

Well this past week or so school has finally been slowing down just a bit! Much needed and I think it has to do with the fact that we have over 150 students out with the flu!!! Crazy I know because it's really not getting any better as of right now. Who knows if they have Swine flu or not but either way I think our school needs to be cleaned out and a few days off to let everything settle down and every one get healthy!!!

On a happier note, my good friend from high school Kerry Reed who had her baby girl Ella on my wedding day came down to TX to visit family and friends!!! It was so good finally getting to meet miss Ella, my wedding anniversary/her birthday twin!!! One night the 3 of us girls went out to dinner and to our surprise a very nice couple bought our dinner for us that night!!! What a surprise, in times like this with the economy still not doing as well someone did something so nice for complete strangers! Thank you Mr. and Mrs. whomever you were! Oh and because of such a nice gesture Kerry ended up buying some M&M's off a handicapped man in the parking lot!!! Isn't she just a sweet heart!

What's been going on...

Well What else has gone on in our life since Mid July.....

The end of July was a fun trip to Amarillo to visit Jason's family and where he grew up!! Tons of fun seeing everything and painting on the cars in the middle of the field. Oh and I got carded for buying spray paint because the lady at Walmart didn't think I was 18 an dold enough to buy it! haha

One of my Best friends and College roommate Erin Hein gave birth to a beautiful baby girl Brooklyn Grace Hein!!! So super stinkin cute! Congrats A&E yall make cute babies!!!

Also over labor day weekend Jason and I went to Austin and to float the river. I've only ever done that once and it was a major spur of the moment trip with my friend Brittney so it was nice to actually have this planned out a little bit. Oh and this is a first for Jason and I to do together!!!

So, we went with our friends Chris and Sandra, they are engaged and getting married in April and I'm a bridesmaid!!! We had a great time going out on the town after UT's first home game. We ended up liking this bar that the dance floor is the top of a shark tank!!! Something you have to see and they had great music to dance to as well! Very fun night and the next morning we woke up and got the day started. We had a rally good REALLLLLY long float filled with lots of drinks and a jello loaf! (your not allowed to bring jello shots on the river anymore) We all had a great time and all got a little sun burnt but worth it!!! Can't wait to float the river again! Maybe the next time there will be more water so we can actually float the whole time!!!!

Pictures to come soon!

So yes once again it has been a very long time since I have updated my blog but now that the school year has begun I am hoping that this becomes a more frequent thing.

Yes, I have still been getting on here but only to read everyone else's blogs. So thnk's for all of your updates! Since my last blog nothing to major has happened in our lives except for the fact that we got another dog! YEAH!!! If you know me at all you know that I have always wanted a Yorkie! I just love those dogs so about a month ago Jason, Puma and I went and kinda adopted this little 4 year old dog from a great family! The family we got him from had just adopted 3 or 4 children themselves so they were very busy and wanted ROSCO to have a good home so I talked Jason into going to meet them. They are very nice people with great hearts to do what they have done so we brought Puma to meet his soon to be new brother Rosco. Little did we know the boys or what Jason calls the the girls are doing great. They chase each other around all the time and then crash when it's time for bed...sometimes! So yes here is our new litte man Rosco and Bigger but younger brother Puma!

The Honeymooners!

Here are some of our Pics!!!

All cought up!!!!!!!!!!

So it's the middle of July and that means that I only have a month left of my summer break! I am not to happy about that but I am trying to make to most of my summer and do as many things as possible. One fun thing is that I am still wedding planning! No were not renewing our vows already but 2 of my friends are getting married next year one in April(Fort Worth) and one in July(Mexico)! I am excited I still get to play around with wedding stuff and can't wait for those weddings to arrive! We are going to turn the July wedding into our one year anniversary trip and go a little early to enjoy ourselves!

Today was my other college roomies baby shower! Erin and I go way back...10 year old's playing soccer together eventually we met up again and roomed together all 4 years in college and are still best friends! You don't hear that to often do ya! Anyway, Erin and her hubby Aaron aka "boy" (the nickname I gave him, I had to distinguish their names so not both of them would answer me when I yelled their name in college!) are having a little girl Brooklyn Grace Hein! I love the name! Of course like always I went a little over board and wanted to buy the entire store for her but I stopped at 4 bags full of little goodies for her! Some things were necessities but most were just cute! All in all I think little Brooke will have some very nice things! Congrats A & E, I can't wait to meet her!

Updates continued...

Beginning of July...
So now that we are married it's time to change my name! Well I started with the DMV and when I went some irate man was going a little crazy on the ladies working there that I thought I might not even get to change my name in this life time thank goodness cops work there and got a hold of him and now I'm just waiting on my new license to come in the mail!!!
July 1oth and 11th...
Houston bound for Brittany's wedding July 10th! Erin and I left early in the morning to make it down to Houston in time for so early practice of our so long farewell song and dance at the end of the reception the next day. I must say we had it down pat and were ready to perform! When that was all over we all got ready for the rehearsal and dinner! Everything was wonderful and dinner was amazing! Steak was a little to raw for my liking but the evening went great and off to Brittany's mom's house all us girls went! After a little talking we were all pretty tired and decided to get some good rest for her big day! The next morning we were out running errands and had a get bridesmaid luncheon! It was wonderful and company was Devinne! haha I don't ever talk like that but after going to this place I felt like I should be talking like that! Anyway, we all got our hair done and makeup did and headed to the church for the wedding to begin! Ceremony came and went and it was wonderful Brittany looked like a princess in her beautiful dress! The reception was awesome at The Westlake Club in Houston there was a photo booth, great food, tons of dancing and my dad even pretended to be a photographer and take loads of pictures of us dancing! At the end of the night Brittany and Jonathon ran through tons of rose petals and were off to live happily ever after! After a honeymoon in St. Lucia! Congrats Roomie!

Much needed updates...

June 10th-2oth...
Ok so the days that were leading up to the wedding were great! Much to every one's surprise I was not a bridezilla despite all the things that happened! Some of those things that I thought were really funny but most didn't were my DJ change the day before the wedding, but the best one yet was when we went to get our hair done the morning of the wedding my hair dresser was super hung over and was taking breaks to get sick during our visit! I thought it was super funny but most did not! Oh well my hair looked great and that's all that mattered! Oh and our new DJ was great too!
June 20th...
Our wedding was amazing!!!!!!! I couldn't not have imagined a better more perfect wedding! And I thank my parents for everything! Jason said that he couldn't even believe that it was all for us when we walked into the reception! (Maybe he should have been in on the planning for the previous 14 months) Just a thought! But none the less June 20, 2009 was the best day of my life I married my best friend and my parents threw us one hell of a party!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!
June 21st-30th...
The day after the wedding we went to both of our parents house because it was Fathers Day and we wanted to spend time with everyone who can in town to visit us. At my parents house we opened up all of our gifts and were more than blessed by everyone and their generosity!
Off to Hawaii we went! While we were on our honeymoon we were able to do so many things! We went to a luau, had a steak and lobster sunset dinner Cruise, surfing (kinda), and rented a jeep wrangler to drive around the entire island (North Shore was stunning)!!! I even got Jason to climb up diamond head the day we left to come home! What an amazing view from the top! Thank you everyone for making our honeymoon so amazing!!!

The countdown begins...

So we are now less than a month away from being married!!! Finally some light at the end of the tunnel (endless wedding planning tunnel that is)!! I am so excited and can not wait to be Mrs. Sutherlin!

Another countdown is for school to be down with this year! Only 9 more days! I couldn't be more excited for that because right after my last teacher inservice day my college roommates Erin and I are going to drive to Houston for Brittany's Bachelorette Party! Funny enough that is the same weekend as Jason's Bachelor party! Every weekend until the wedding we have something important to do this weekend Charlie and Kelley's wedding, next weekend Stock the Bar party, the weekend after that Bachelorette/Bachelor parties, the weeend beofre the wedding Jassie's wedding the our wedding will be here!

My crazy way of telling myself that I NEED to workout is that I decided to sign up to run a marathon at the end of this year! Some may say i'm crazy but I am really excited about it and it will give me something to do over the summer! I am training 4 days a week and I even made a new running friend in the group. It's much easier to run with a partner than by yourself! Megan and I even run at the same pace and on the days we don't want to drive into Fort Worth we decided we will meet out by our houses and run! Anyway this is my way of telling everyone if I am a grouch at all until my marathon it is because I am running myself crazy! haha Just to let yall know ahead of time!

I'm sure I will be blogging more as the days get closer to the wedding...

April!

Well we are only 2 months away from the big day now!

April is always one of my favorite months because of course my birthday starts off the month to such a great start and then everything just falls into place from there!
My good friend from high school got married the weekend after my birthday and it was such a fabulous wedding! Everything was so great and I even met a new friend through out the whole day so even better! Congratulations to Jerry and Brittney Coe!

Middle school soccer is in full swing well I guess as much as it can be right now between all the April Showers. My girls are 2-0 so far and I couldn't be more proud of them!

After almost a year my college roommate Erin and I drove down to Houston for our other roommate Brittany's Bridal shower. They first night we were there we stayed up way late and just talked about all the good old days! Wow that makes us kinda old! Then on Saturday we had a great time at her shower and spent the rest of the trip just being us girls! That trip was very much need for all three of us!

This past weekend Jason's Mom Kathy, his sister-in-law Courtney and good friend of the family Ann Souders threw me a bridal shower at the church! I couldn't have asked for anything more! Except for some to come over and plant all my flowers now! haha From the table arrangements (fresh potting flowers) to the amazing funfettii cake and all the gifts it was absolutely perfect! Thank you to everyone who came in from out of town for it (Brittany-Houston, and the Amarillo Crew) and thank you for all of the wonderful gifts!

Right now we are in our week of TAKS testing here at school and I can't wait for it to be over! With all this swine flu business going around I am shocked no one at my school has gotten sick with it! Most of my kids are frequent travelers to Mexico so I am glad we are all safe and healthy! Still wish we had some days off though!!!

I am so looking forward to this weekend and my Bachelorette Party at the "W" hotel and ghost bar in Dallas! Thanks to my best friend in the whole world Kerry for making all this possible and all the bridesmaids! Yeah Miranda is coming in town to join us from Florida!!!!

March!

March was a great month for us! Jason's club is doing great and he is starting to enjoy working there! Over spring break I got to play in my wedding dress all day long! I had my bridal pictures taken and am so excited to see them.

Also the week after spring break Mom, Dad, Jason and myself got to go out to North Carolina to visit/welcome home my brother Andy! Mom and Dad went out the beginning of the week and Jason and I flew in the same day Andy got home! everyone was so excited to see him finally meet his new daughter Rylee and interact with Maddie again! She loves her daddy that's for sure! We had a great time hanging out on the beach and staying on the beach was great too! I was so sad when we had to leave but we will see them again in June for the wedding!!!!

Feburary!

Wow what a fun and exciting month! First, my sister in law Becca gave birth to my new baby neice! Rylee Rebeca Apetz, to everyones surprise she came into this world a lot bigger than expected! That's a good thing very healthy and a very happy baby! We are so glad everyone is doing great! Then, is was big sister Maddie's 2nd birthday! She is getting so big and so much fun!

Also this month one of my really good friends Sarah gave birth ther her and Scott's first baby, Abigail Joy Myser! Mom and baby Abby are doing just great!

Also this month started the first of many weekends with me being very busy with bridal showers for my close high school friend Brittney. Everything was very nice and there are more to come...
