Done and paid for...

SO I just signed up for "The Challenge" and am so ready to start that on Monday! I also have signed up and paid for the Half-Marathon! So no turning back now! I think I have a handle on the stomach issues I have been having since this summer and I am going to just start with doing Half's. If I can handle those then maybe one day I can do a marathon! Here's to a great start to getting healthy in 2010.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone! Hope everyone had a great time with family and friends! We were so blessed by everyone and got so many great things and had a lot of fun family time! Christmas breakfast was at our house then dinner at Jason's parents house! We go to skype with my brother and his family and that was so much fun! Maddie got her new barbie jeep and backed it into the garage door! Perfect just like her Aunt Kensley!!! We even had a white Christmas! It started snowing on Christmas eve while we were playing with our new Wii! So much fun the dogs loved the snow well maybe just Puma!

Rosco is not a fan of the snow!!

Puma loves the snow!!!

Look at all this snow!!!

Chloe is her new Dora tent that we got her for Christmas!

Jason had Mimosa's for the first time during breakfast and couldn't get enough of them so after dinner we stopped on our way home to get more Champagne and we decided to chill it outside in the snow!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!

Snowball Express

So this past weekend Jason and I volunteered for a event called Snowball Express with my Mom and Dad.

Here is what SBE is about:

Snowball Express is the charity for the children of our fallen military heroes. It started in 2006 with a simple idea: Provide hope and new memories to the children of our fallen military heroes who died while on active duty since September 11, 2001.

Memorials at a cemetery or listening to a long speech are not the kind of memories a child wishes to endure again . Yet that is how we honor our heroes...it is what adults do.

By attending Snowball Express a child can see that "service above self" is honored by others and is a value they should subscribe to as they continue to mature as adults. They also realize they can honor their fallen hero in ways other than by being sad or at a somber place.

Snowball Express gives them a piece of their childhood back, allowing them to have fun and that it's OK to laugh.

As a Nation, we are blessed. We owe it to these children to do something special and nothing is better than meeting someone who is just like you.

Snowball Express does just that with the help of volunteers, donors and sponsors.

Jason and I had such a great time volunteering we did our part on Saturday when the families went to Cowboys Stadium in Arlington. AKA Jerry's World! What an amazing place and the way it was decorated for these kids was even more amazing! That day at the stadium they had a few surprises. One was Gary Sinese and his band. He is Lt. Dad from Forrest Gump and on C.S.I. also the Patriot Guards were also there and drove on to the Field and escorted them from event to event all week long. Those Patriot Guards are just amazing! There was so much going on with face painting and bounce houses, kicking field goals, dancing to the music, tours, EATING tons of awesome food family style! It was such an amazing event to be a part of I can't wait to do it again next year and be even more involved! When I get my pictures downloaded I will post them hopefully tomorrow!

Christmas Pictures!

So Jason and I had our first official Sutherlin family Christmas pictures taken a couple of weekends ago and it was so much fun! Rosco only peed on our photographer once and for the most part the boys did really well for being out in 40' weather! It was so cold that day I think it was the first day that the temperature really dropped and we were freezing! Thank goodness I went out and got a new sweater!

Puma almost got away right before this picture!

Puma is actually pretty photogenic, Rosco not so much!
